A Madeiran Wall Lizard (Teira dugesii) is captured basking on a rough, sunlit surface, displaying the dark, speckled scales typical of this agile reptile. Endemic to the Madeira archipelago, this species is the only native lizard on the islands and is ubiquitous across diverse habitats, from coastal rocks to mountain peaks.
